Safe use of essential oils
- Essential oils are highly concentrated. Always dilute them in a carrier oil before applying to skin, and patch-test a new blend first.
- Never ingest essential oils unless under the direct supervision of a qualified professional.
- Take particular care during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and with infants, children, the elderly, and anyone with a medical condition or taking medication.
- Many essential oils are toxic to pets, especially cats. Keep oils and diffusers out of their reach and diffuse only in ventilated spaces a pet can leave.
- Discontinue use and seek medical attention if you experience an adverse reaction.
